Prioritising
experiences
over Possessions

The story behind Ecotiny is one of craft, place, and a deep connection to the Australian landscape by building eco-responsive tiny houses that minimise environmental impact and maximise harmony with nature. Constructed from durable, low-impact materials and energy-smart systems, each houses are thoughtfully designed for comfort, resilience, and intentional tiny-space living.

The Founder

Bastien.

Originally from Belgium, Bastien moved to Australia and fell in love with the Northern Rivers region. That connection to place (the light, the landscape, the pace of life) shapes every decision behind Ecotiny.

A passionate carpenter by trade with an eye for detail and an extensive experience in the building industry, he brings a craftsman's rigour to every build. Nothing leaves the workshop without meeting his standard: honest materials, precise joinery, and spaces that feel both minimal and alive.

Ecotiny exists at the intersection of that craft and a belief that living smaller can mean living better: with less impact, more intention, and a home that truly belongs to its environment.

Our approach

Detail. Craft.
Place.

01

Detail

Every joint, finish, and fitting is considered. We don’t hide behind trim. The structure is the aesthetic.

02

Craft

Carpentry isn’t a side skill. It’s the foundation. Built by hand, in our Northern Rivers workshop, to last.

03

Place

Designed for the Australian climate and terrain. Off-grid ready, low impact, and at home in the landscape.
